Blog Feature Release – March Week 1
New Features You Need to Know from FieldInsight
This week, we’ve rolled out several new features to help with scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and asset management. Let’s take a look at what’s new and how these updates can benefit your team.
Hide Jobs of Other Workers in Unscheduled Job List
Now you have more control over what jobs your team sees in the unscheduled job list. A new setting allows jobs assigned to other workers to be hidden, reducing clutter and making it easier for technicians to focus on their own tasks. This setting, “Hide jobs of other workers from the list of all Unscheduled jobs,” can be found in Settings > Work > Mobile.
Revenue Value Per Technician in Day Calendar View
You can now track revenue more effectively with a new addition to the Day Calendar view. A revenue value is now displayed per technician per day, helping you keep an eye on financial performance. This setting can be enabled by going to Settings > Work > Calendar and selecting the checkbox called “Show Job Revenue by Technician on Day View”.
Delete Assets in the Field
Technicians can now delete assets directly from the mobile app, making asset management more efficient. To enable this, the “Allow tech to delete asset” checkbox must be turned on in Settings > Work > Mobile. When enabled, technicians will see a red trash can icon at the bottom right corner of any asset page, allowing them to delete the asset when necessary.
Asset “Model” Field Files Now Available in the Customer Portal
Customers using the portal can now view and download files linked to the “Model” field of an asset. This makes it easier to access important documents like manuals and technical sheets, reducing the need for back-and-forth communication.
Updates to the Maintenance Reports
We’ve made a few improvements to Maintenance Reports. When working with a Quote section, you can now choose which columns to display, making the report cleaner and showing only the most relevant information. Additionally, a new status filter has been added to the Quote and Invoice sections, allowing for better organisation and review of documents.
These new improvements are based on a multi-select dropdown, where users can customise the columns and status filters according to their needs.
PM Contract – Triggered Job Messages
Automated job emails and SMS messages can now be configured at the contract level. This ensures that specific notifications apply only to jobs linked to a Preventative Maintenance (PM) contract, while still allowing global messages for jobs that are not related to PM contracts. This provides greater flexibility and customisation, enabling different messages for different contracts.
Sort Sales Items by Code
When working with sales documents, it is now possible to organise inventory items by code instead of by asset. This configuration must be done for each type of sales document and for each template. The setting can be found in the Table section when configuring any template, under “Items order”. Here, you can change the order to “Order by code”. Once set up, all generated documents will display inventory items sorted by their code.
