Blog Feature Release – January Week 4

Latest Feature Updates for FieldInsight

At FieldInsight, we are committed to enhancing your experience by introducing new features and optimising existing workflows. Here are the latest updates, detailing what each feature brings to the platform, how they function, and the benefits they provide.

New Element for Fire Reports: Routine Services

Maintaining accurate and organised documentation is crucial for compliance and operational efficiency. One of the most anticipated updates in this release is the introduction of the “Routine Services” section in fire reports. This new section provides a detailed breakdown of essential maintenance activities, including: Routine Activity ID, Logbook, Asset Types and Service Frequency.

New Button: Quickly View Assigned To-Do’s

Technicians can now easily check if there are pending to-do’s that need completion. On the right-hand side of the top section in the mobile app, a new button displays the number of pending to-do’s. By clicking on it, users are redirected straight to the forms page for immediate access.

Set Asset When Selecting Defects in Timesheets

A new automation links defects with their corresponding assets in timesheets. When a defect is selected, the system automatically associates the relevant asset. This functionality is available across both desktop and mobile applications, simplifying workflows for all staff members.

Easily Run Through Maintenance Tests

This improvement provides sequential navigation for tests within a single maintenance visit. When the “Is Asset Sequence Enabled” setting is activated (found in Settings > Asset & Tests > Assets > General), technicians working on asset tests will see a Next button. By pressing this button, they are guided to the subsequent test. The organisation of tests follows the order defined in the “Work Sequence” field, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

Business Division and Entity from Site When Creating Jobs

We have streamlined the association of elements within the system. When creating a job, the Business Division and Business Entity fields will now inherit information from the site. This enhancement improves accuracy and saves time by pre-filling configured fields.
