Blog Feature Release – January Week 2

Weekly Feature Update: What’s New at FieldInsight?

At FieldInsight, we’re always focused on enhancing the tools for professionals to rely on. This week, our development team delivered several updates that are designed to make your work easier and more efficient. Let’s take a look at what’s new!

Organise Timesheets by Tech and Date & PDF Page Breaks

We’ve introduced a new order in the detailed Timesheets view. Now, you can organise all entries by staff and date for better clarity. Additionally, PDF exports now include page breaks for each technician, making reports more structured and easier to review.

Filter Defects by Asset When Adding New Timesheets

Finding the right defect when creating new timesheets has been streamlined. The list now only shows defects associated with a selected asset, helping teams with multiple defects focus on the relevant ones without sifting through unnecessary data.

Email and SMS Functionality on Projects

Communication is key when managing projects. With our latest update, you’ll find new buttons on the project page to send emails or SMS messages directly to project contacts. This saves time and eliminates the need to locate contacts separately before reaching out.

Automatic Defect Price Updates

Defects now reflect the most up-to-date pricing from inventory when raised. This ensures consistency and accuracy, reducing manual updates and the risk of errors. Pricing updates in inventory are instantly applied to all newly created defects.

Wizard Mapping for Importing Data

Importing data into FieldInsight just got simpler! Our new wizard guides you through mapping your data to the appropriate fields in FieldInsight. This eliminates the need for manual mapping and makes the import process faster and more accurate.
